Phutuma Shuttle Service TERMS AND CONDiTiONS


1. Arrival & Boarding
  • Check-in: Passengers must be at the designated pickup point 20 minutes before the scheduled departure.
  • Late Arrivals: To ensure punctuality for all travelers, late arrivals may result in a forfeited seat without a refund.
  • Identification: A unique valid ID or passport is required for EVERY passenger before boarding. No ID, no entry.


2. Luggage & Property
  • Standard Allowance: Each ticket includes 1 small carry-on and 1 checked bag (max 30kg) stored in the trailer/compartment.
  • Excess Luggage: Items exceeding 30kg or additional bags will incur an extra fee at the driver’s discretion, subject to available space.
  • Liability: While we take every precaution, Phutuma Shuttle is not liable for loss or damage to fragile items or valuables in checked luggage.


3. Ticket Validity
  • Tickets are valid only for the specific date, time, and route indicated on the booking confirmation. They are non-transferable to other passengers unless requested and approved via our support channels at least 24 hours prior to departure.


4. Cancellation & Refund Tiers
  • To ensure fairness and seat availability, the following refund schedule applies to all bookings:
  • More than 48 hours before departure: * Full refund or complimentary rescheduling (less a 10% administrative/processing fee).
  • 24 to 48 hours before departure: * 50% refund of the total fare or rescheduling (a 20% rescheduling fee applies).
  • Less than 24 hours before departure: * No refund and no rescheduling permitted. The ticket is forfeited.


5. No-Show Policy
  • Passengers who are not present at the designated pick-up point by the scheduled departure time will be treated as "No-Shows." No refunds or credits will be issued for missed shuttles.


6. Technical & Payment Processing
  • All refunds are processed via the original payment method (Payfast).

Please note:

  • The administrative fee covers non-refundable banking and gateway charges.
  • Approved refunds may take 5 to 10 business days to reflect in your account, depending on your banking institution.


7. Conduct
  • Safety & Conduct: We reserve the right to refuse transport to anyone under the influence of alcohol/drugs or whose behavior threatens the safety of others.


8. Data Privacy & POPIA Consent

Passenger Lists: By booking with us, you consent to Phutuma Shuttle collecting and processing your personal information (Name, ID, Contact) for the purpose of maintaining a mandatory Passenger List and managing your reservation.


Data Usage: Your information is handled in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). We use this data only for operational safety, communication, and legal compliance. We will never share your details with third parties for marketing purposes.
